Currituck Lighthouse Daily Seascape Oil Painting by Patty Ann Sykes

Patty Ann Sykes
Currituck Lighthouse ©Patty Sykes 6x6 Oil on Canvas

Currituck Lighthouse is located in the

historic village of Corolla.  It is known as
as a first order lighthouse which means
it has the largest of seven Fresnel lens sizes.
The beacon comes on automatically every evening
at dusk and ceases at dawn.  It’s exterior is left
unpainted and is made up of bricks.  It was the
last major lighthouse to be built on the Outer Banks.
