At the first of June, my husband and

I attended the Columbus Arts Festival.

As always, it gave me more inspiration

to paint.  We purchased the vase in the 

painting, which I love and of course 

became the focus of this painting.

Here in Buckeye Country, blue and

gold are usually not a good thing, since

it is Michigan colors, but contrasting

colors in this still life are very good together.

My goal was also to paint in 

the Old Master's style with the

pattern table cloth.
