and we try to challenge ourselves
for different subjects.
This challenge was anything to do
with trees.  This was my
opportunity to experiment
with the Arches Oil Paper. It
worked great.  It was a very sturdy and
pliable surface to work with the oils.

“Pink Water lily”

The definition for a water lily is an aquatic
plant with showy flowers.  They also create
shade and protection for fish and provide
a gentle resting spot for frogs and dragonflies.
They are so beautiful on a sunny day when
the light Is hitting them and they can look
very transparent.  This is one of nature’s great
beauties.  I love painting them.
