especially yellow ones.  The only problem

is yellow is my favorite type of rose. Therefore,

June and July seem the perfect time

for water lilies to bloom.  We have a 

great park close to our house that have

an abundance of them.  I love to go there

and walk and take in the beauty God has 

created for us.

A few years ago, while attending a 

beach wedding in Charleston, SC, we

discovered this lighthouse that could

only be viewed from shore because it

was totally surrounded by water. It is 

located near Folly Beach, SC.  I understand

that now they are in the process of trying

to raise money to preserve and restore 

this lighthouse.

I love this time of year, when you can

visit the local farm markets and purchase

fresh fruit and vegetables.  We planted a 

small garden growing only tomatoes and

cucumbers.  They are doing well. But the 

cherries this year are very good, but as 

always, I must paint them before I can eat

them, so you can enjoy them first.

While my husband and I were in Hawaii,

we hiked up Diamond Head and as we

spread our blanket to have our lunch,

we noticed the lighthouse that was below

us.  It was such a beautiful sight.
